Brief: Dresses, Suits, Dance, Fun: Frolic

by on Jan.06, 2010, under News

“Opening Night” based on the 1940’s Broadway is the theme for this year’s annual Frolic, to be held at the Wedding House on December 16th. Before deciding on this final theme the Frolic committee of Student Government narrowed it down to this one, as well as an Antarctica or Latin theme.  According to Student Government Activities Head, Nicole Chu (12), the venue, in which prom was held last year, will create an atmosphere entirely different from the Sheraton Hotel. The space will be comparatively larger than the one used for the prom and students will be directed to the sixth floor upon entrance. Seniors such as Natalie Chen realize that it is her last frolic and, “one of the last opportunities in school to dress up and take pictures!”
The tickets will sell for 1400 NT starting from November 23rd and for 1500 NT starting December 7th. Tickets on the day of the Frolic will sell for approximately 2000 NT. Nicole encourages students to “primp up and take pictures that will last forever” as  “Frolic is a place where high school memories are made.”
