About the Blue & Gold
The Blue & Gold is produced monthly during the academic year by the Journalism classes of Taipei American School, 800 Chung Shand N. Road, Section 6, Shih Lin, Taipai, Taiwan 111. The views expressed in the Blue & Gold are those of the writers and do not necessarily reflect views of the school, its students, staff, faculty, or administration.
Started in 2008, The Blue & Gold Online is a comprehensive edition of the Blue & Gold Newspaper that will be updated and monitored on a regular basis. The Blue & Gold Online features articles that can be found on the monthly Blue & Gold Newspaper, but there will also be articles that are exclusive to Blue & Gold Online. The News, Features, Opinions, Arts & Culture, and Sports pages are designed to help viewers find their way around the website. The articles on the double-truc (center spread of the Blue & Gold newspaper, pages 4 and 5) are located in the DT page. Other sections on the website include: the Archives section, where viewers to locate and download the pdf versions of the Blue & Gold Newspaper, as well as the Recent Posts section, where viewers can see the most recent updates to the Blue & Gold Online (ex. new articles). Feel free to click on any of the links on the site and explore.
The aim of Blue & Gold Online is to establish a greater connection between the TAS Journalism staff and the rest of the community through more interactive opportunities. Students, teachers/faculty, parents, and other members of the TAS community have the chance to offer feedback by commenting on the articles themselves or clicking on the Contact Us button on the right sidebar. The staff welcomes any questions, opinions, comments, and suggestions regarding the Blue & Gold Online and Blue & Gold Newspaper.
Keep in mind, however, that the TAS school values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness are applied on this interactive website. Therefore, inappropriate comments will be returned to the sender so that the sender will have the opportunity to reconstruct their comments before sending them again. Comments will be posted at the end of each article.
Furthermore, students, teachers/faculty, parents, and other members of the TAS community are more than welcome to submit articles if they wish to do so. Article submissions will either be published on the Blue & Gold Newspaper or the Blue & Gold Online. Feel free to contact us by clicking Contact Us, or talk to any of the Blue & Gold staff members about article contributions.
