The Blue & Gold is a student-run publication dedicated to sharing stories from the Taipei American School community. Produced and distributed free of charge monthly during the academic year by staff writers at TAS, The Blue & Gold strives to showcase and interrogate the community it serves.
The Blue & Gold strives to represent the school as whole, showcasing hidden personalities and covering events and issues that affect the school and community. In striving to create and produce a comprehensive school newspaper, the Blue & Gold has a regularly updated website that is dedicated to providing an even greater voice to members of the student body. Speech is protected on the condition that it does not infringe on others and upholds the Taipei American School values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, and Courage.
Started in 2008, the Blue & Gold website includes all articles published in the print edition as well as online-exclusive articles. Students, faculty, parents, and other members of the TAS community are encouraged to offer feedback by commenting on articles or submitting their own articles. Article submissions will either be published in the print edition or online. Feel free to contact us or talk to any of the Blue & Gold staff members. We welcome any questions, opinions, comments, or suggestions regarding the Blue & Gold.
