“Ralph breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2” is a movie produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, the movie was released on Nov. 21, 2018.
The plot revolves around Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) and his best friend Vanellope von Schweetz (voiced by Sarah Silverman), who are video game characters that live in arcade cabinets at the Family Fun Center & Arcade. After Vanellope’s steering wheel was broken, Ralph and Vanellope go on a journey into the internet to find the only other one in existence for Vanellope’s car racing video game. Without realizing that the replacement part costs real money, Ralph and Vanellope bid a ridiculously high amount for it on eBay. Determined to buy the steering wheel before it is too late, they set out to earn $1701 US in just 24 hours.

Friendship plays a key role in this movie. Ralph and Vanellope are best friends, and they do everything together. However, after they discover a whole new world beyond their small arcade, their friendship changes forever. Adventure to numerous places together are followed by heartbreak and betrayal. This movie is both thrilling, humorous and touching.

The scene where Ralph and Vanellope arrive at the internet for the first time was especially stunning. Compared to the small, neat and confined space of their arcade, the internet was vast and seemingly never ending. The burst of colors and the lively music fit perfectly with the scene. There were buildings, streets, cars and stations everywhere, and it was busy and lively, just like a city.
It is interesting how the internet world was portrayed as a smaller version of the real world. Some scenes in the movie struck me because I suddenly realized how much it made sense and how I could see the connection between the things in the internet world and in the real world. I especially love how the different sections of the internet world represent different websites, like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, eBay and many more.

Many characters from classic Disney cartoons were included in this movie. For example, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh appeared when Ralph and Vanellope first arrived in the internet world. In a fun and humorous scene later in the movie, Vanellope encounters all the Disney princesses.

However, some of the conflicts in the movie were still left unsolved at the end. The plot would be complete if some scenes were added to wrap up.  Despite this, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” is still a well-made and creative movie. All of the characters in the movie had their unique personalities and appearance.

“Ralph Breaks the Internet” is a humorous, exciting and heart-warming movie. The morals taught in this movie about friendship are not only important, but also relatable and precious. There are even two adorable and hilarious credit scenes added into the movie, one in the middle of the credits and one at the very end.
