2018 English department contest winners
Each year the English department nominates two juniors for the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards. Two selected students each submit two pieces of writing: a work of their own choice, submitted in December of 2017, and a standardized essay, submitted on Feb. 15. Furthermore, as part of an initiative to grant recognition to talented writers in the ninth and 10th grade, the English department has also created an in-school competition.
