The Antipodean Specialty Coffee is located in a small alley in Neihu District. This Australian shop offers a variety of food and drinks including Australian style breakfast foods, coffee and more. The cafe was full during the weekend, so it would be best if a reservation was made in advance.
This cafe specializes in coffee, and offers nine different types of coffee all with different designs on top. Their most popular coffee is called ‘The Antipodean’ and costs $150 NT. The coffee was rich in flavor so it is certainly worth a try.
One of the most popular dishes is the ‘Queen’s Breakfast Platter’, containing multiple different foods like smoked salmon, sunny side up eggs, avocado, yogurt and more. This meal was both photogenic and flavorful, so I would definitely recommend people to try it. The cost of this meal was $890 NT. Although not exactly cheap, this is a great dish for people to share with their friends or families as well as take pictures.
Other than breakfast meals, this cafe also offers foods like acai bowls, sliders, and desserts. ‘The House-made Beef Sliders’ are made with charcoal burger buns, homemade beef and pork mixed patties and caramelized onions. Three sliders cost $300NTD, which is still on the pricey side, but the unique and delicious taste makes up for it.
Besides the tasty food, the cafe has both an outdoor and indoor eating area and a decorated wall outside for people to take pictures. The outdoor environment contains many plants, flowers and light decorations for people to enjoy while eating. The indoor environment can accommodate more people and also has many decorations including circular lights and pieces of fabric hanging from the ceiling.
Although the food is a bit pricey, the delectable food is definitely worth a try if you are looking for a place to enjoy and spend time with friends and family.
