IASAS Medal Update

Season 2 IASAS Athletes traveled during the Chinese New Year break to compete in Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.

Basketball, which took place in Manila, brought home two medals. Girls basketball triumphed against ISM in the finals, becoming champions for the first time since 2008. Boys basketball won a close consolation match against ISB to win bronze.

In Jakarta, Girls Touch Rugby came fifth place despite coming very close to the bronze medal match, while Boys Rugby replicated their 2016 bronze victory over JIS.

In Bangkok, Girls Tennis got fifth place and Boys Tennis fourth place.

In Kuala Lumpur, Girls Swimming received sixth place, coming first place in the 400m Freestyle Relay and setting a new school record. Congratulations to Jessica W. (11) for breaking 3 records and earning 4 medals and Shawyuan H. who also received 4 medals. Boys Swimming came in fourth place and came second in the 400m Freestyle Relay.
