Describe yourself in 5 words.
Looks serious, but actually isn’t.
What made you start MUN?
I thought MUN was about debating, and my mom always said I was very argumentative, so she said to join MUN to put my skills to use.
How would you describe yourself as a chair?
I am serious but lenient. I try to follow the procedures, but I don’t mind if delegates lighten the mood once in a while.
What’s your most embarrassing memory from an MUN conference or practice?
Being caught using my phone by my coach during the conference session.
What interests you in the Zero Hunger committee?
I think ending hunger is one of the biggest issues in our world. Food is so essential to survival, yet so many people do not have access to it. Compared to political or economic issues, world hunger seems much more serious. I believe this is the most urgent issue and needs the most help from member nations.
What’s your favorite part of MUN?
My favorite part of the MUN conference is getting to know people and having a supportive bloc. My favorite part of MUN trips, however, is my MUN team. They have become my second family.
Since tomato is a fruit, is ketchup a smoothie?
Ketchup is not a smoothie. According to Dictionary.com, smoothie is a thick beverage of fruit pureed in a blender with ice, milk, yogurt, or juice. Ketchup is not a beverage, not pureed in a blender, and does not contain ice, milk, yogurt, or juice. Therefore it is not a smoothie.
